Hello to all,
Many of you did not find anything on the net to play at our favorite game on Windows 8
Actually uninstall starforce and the tmn patch does not work on 8.
Luckily I played there two nights ago on a server with a French guy who told me what to do. I said that was his version of Windows 8 and played well with me on the server. He told me that he almost gave up because he also had not found tutorial on the net..
The handling is as follows :
- TMN normally install on your PC. At launch the game you will have this message : "Video card not found" and TMN does not start.
- We need to right click on the icon launch "launcher" and "open as administrator"
- Here the firewall asks if you allow trackmania, click "allow" or "ok"
- Then again right click on the launcher button on the desktop, then click on "Open folder location". In case there are only two applications with the TMN logo : "TmNationsESWCLauncher.exe" and "TmNationsESWC.exe"
- Click on "TmNationsESWC.exe" and normally if all went well the game starts.
Note that I have not tested it myself, and if among you there is someone who use Windows 8, I would like to know if you managed to start the game

Beaucoup d'entre vous n'ont rien trouvé sur le net pour jouer a notre jeu préféré sur Windows 8.
Effectivement la désinstallation de starforce ainsi que le patch tmn ne fonctionne pas sur 8.
Par chance j'ai joué il y a 2 nuits de ça sur un serveur ou un petit français m'a expliqué ce qu'il fallait faire. Je précise que sa version de Windows était 8 et qu'il jouait bien avec moi sur le serveur. Il m'a expliqué qu'il a faillit renoncé car lui non plus n'avait trouvé aucin tuto sur le net.
La manipulation est la suivante :
- Installer TMN normalement sur votre PC. Au lancement du jeu vous devrez avoir ce message : "Video card not found" et TMN ne se lance pas.
- Il faut cliquer droit sur l'icone de lancement "launcher" puis "ouvrir en mode administrateur"
- là le firewall vous demande si vous autorisez trackmania, cliquez sur le bouton "autoriser" ou "ok"
- Ensuite refaire clic droit sur le bouton launcher du bureau, puis cliquez sur "ouvrir l'emplacement du dossier". Dans le dossier il n'y a que 2 applications avec le logo TMN : "TmNationsESWCLauncher.exe" et "TmNationsESWC.exe"
- Cliquez sur "TmNationsESWC.exe" et normalement si tout s'est bien déroulé le jeu se lance.
Je précise que je n'ai pas testé moi-même et que si parmis vous il y en a qui on Windows 8, j'aimerai bien savoir si vous avez réussi à lancer le jeu.
